AC7402 – CAAP
The Counterfeit Avoidance Accreditation Program (CAAP) was developed for the detection, avoidance, mitigation and disposition of fraudulent and counterfeit electronic parts, imposed by the industries leading OEM/OCM and managed by Performance Review Institute.
CAAP – AC7402 Program was developed to ensure fraudulent/suspect/counterfeit avoidance, detection, mitigation and disposition of electrical, electronics, electromechanical(EEE) products is imposed not only to the requirements of AS6081 but also customer, regulatory and statutory requirements. By ensuring these regulations have been met, CTG helps reduce risks to the Aerospace and Defense industries by reducing product failures, revenue loss, loss of intellectual property and increased costs related to warranty, inspections, testing and restocking. In a line of business where Quality is priority, CTG is the first distributor in the industry to obtain this accreditation in 2018.
CTG was the first distributor in this industry to earn this accreditation in 2018.
The SAE Standard created in response to increasing volumes of fraudulent and counterfeit electronic parts entering the Aerospace and Defense sectors and imposing safeguards to reduce risk and develop practices for distributors to reduce such risks.
As a result of increased volumes of fraudulent/counterfeit electronics entering the supply chain, the SAE International panel, in reference to SAE AS5553 developed practices to identify reliable sources to procure product, assess and mitigate risk of distributing fraudulent/counterfeit parts, control suspect or confirmed fraudulent parts and report suspect and confirmed fraudulent/counterfeit parts to other potential users and authorities having jurisdiction. CTG not only ensures product deemed suspect is halted during internal evaluation, CTG also notifies the industry, alerting customers and suppliers alike for any relevant issues.
Quality Management System designed for Aerospace industry application and distributors. The QMS development is specific and complementary to contractual and applicable laws and regulatory requirements.
CTG employs this Aerospace standard to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of this system, this includes process for continual improvement and assurance of conformity to customer and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management for the involvement with design, development, production, installation and service.
Quality model focused around the design, development, production, installation and servicing of customer products, implementation of a stringent requirement of set processes developed for risk management, continuous improvement and a focus on customer and industry developments on product requirements.
Certification to the development for the foundation of the quality management system. ISO001 utilizes the core competency and objectives requirements to implement, retain and maintain a successful Quality Management System.
CTG recognizes the needs for international imposed quality management system described within this certification requirement; ensuring the core competencies for Automotive and Aerospace are met including continuous improvement and configuration management. The usage of the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” process to summarize how it can be applied to all processes to increase production and reduce waste.
The ASA Accreditation Program (ASAAP) was created to comply with FAA Advisory Circular 00-56 for Voluntary Industry Distributors. The program describes a system for civil aircraft parts distribution.
As applicable to the FAA AC 00-56, CTG ensures the highest quality and integrity of all civil aviation products; including testing, inspection and validation of authenticity and traceability are available and in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
FAA AC 00-56
Certification system for accrediting civil aircraft parts distributors, the FAA imposed requirements outlined in this program are extringent to procurement, validation, authentication and traceability for the purpose of aircraft products and regulatory requirements for distribution of such parts.
Although the program is a voluntary step for civil aircraft distribution, CTG has elected to comply with such requirements to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded for product eligibility, quality, identification, testing and inspection and reporting of Suspect Unapproved Parts (SUP) to all agencies. CTG provides the comfort to their customers ensuring all Advisory Circulars and Advisory Directives are followed pertaining to the procurement and sales of such product.
A global quality assurance standard created by the Transonic Aviation Group in accordance with FAA Advisory Circular 00-56, implemented to provide customers the highest standards of products and services.
To comply with this standard, CTG ensures the continued development and requirements per FAA’s established guidelines. CTG’s developed process ensures shipping, receiving, serviceable parts, non serviceable parts, quarantine locations, organization and clean developed work areas are efficient to reduce risks for civil aircraft components.
Through the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), we implement throughout our testing and inspecting facilities, a strong technical responsibility for the control of Electrostatic Discharge when inspection/testing is applicable. The program ensures electrostatic sensitive devices are handled, stored and transported in a manor that ensures continued tolerances to device specifications.
Through this certification, CTG ensures the integrity of all electric, electronic, electromechanical (EEE) products inspected/tested within CTG’s laboratory. The program plan develops a strong competency for training, handling, storage, transportation and shipping of such devices and ensuring such sensitive devices remain within technical and specification requirements per manufacturers tolerance. This requirement was initially developed by the United States Department of Defense, who has now adopted the ESD program as a requirement.
Developed by the Component Tecnology Institute, Inc., the Counterfeit Component Avoidance Program (CCAP) was implemented for Independent Distributors to detect and avoid the delivery of Fraudulent/Counterfeit components to customers and end-users.
The set forth requirements provides a detailed analysis for component testing and verification and ensures a strict guideline for product which would be deemed suspect / fraudulent / counterfeit. The standard provides CTG the edge on Component verification, training, Reliability Analysis and detailed test analysis with Acceptance and Rejection criterias. Added amongst various other standards, this ensures CTG’s customers of authentic products.
Blue Raven Solutions imposed its inspection criteria per the Quality Management System IDEA–QMS-9090 from the Independent Distributors of Electronics Association. The criteria established per the requirements of IDEA–STD-1010 meeting the acceptance and rejection values and certifying each of CTG’s quality inspectors and technicians to IDEA–ICE-3000.
IDEA–QMS-9090 Quality Management System was developed to specific requirements and practices of Independent Distributors of Electronic components can utilize to help ensure that they meet and exceed customer requirements. These requirements and practices serve to address many of the unique testing and validation per IDEA–STD-1010. With the detailed training program established within the standard, each inspector and technician are also independently certified to IDEA–ICE-3000, accrediting each individual validating product as a certified member to accept or reject product.
