The SAE Standard created in response to increasing volumes of fraudulent and counterfeit electronic parts entering the Aerospace and Defense sectors and imposing safeguards to reduce risk and develop practices for distributors to reduce such risks.

As a result of increased volumes of fraudulent/counterfeit electronics entering the supply chain, the SAE International panel, in reference to SAE AS5553 developed practices to identify reliable sources to procure product, assess and mitigate risk of distributing fraudulent/counterfeit parts, control suspect or confirmed fraudulent parts and report suspect and confirmed fraudulent/counterfeit parts to other potential users and authorities having jurisdiction. CTG not only ensures product deemed suspect is halted during internal evaluation, CTG also notifies the industry, alerting customers and suppliers alike for any relevant issues.

Blue Raven Solutions imposed its inspection criteria per the Quality Management System IDEAQMS-9090 from the Independent Distributors of Electronics Association. The criteria established per the requirements of IDEASTD-1010 meeting the acceptance and rejection values and certifying each of CTG’s quality inspectors and technicians to IDEAICE-3000.
