CTG leads the industry in certifications

As a result of increased volumes of fraudulent/counterfeit electronics entering the supply chain, the SAE International panel, in reference to SAE AS5553 developed practices to identify reliable sources to procure product, assess and mitigate risk of distributing fraudulent/counterfeit parts, control suspect or confirmed fraudulent parts and report suspect and confirmed fraudulent/counterfeit parts to other potential users and authorities having jurisdiction. CTG not only ensures product deemed suspect is halted during internal evaluation, CTG also notifies the industry, alerting customers and suppliers alike for any relevant issues.

CTG employs this Aerospace standard to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements and aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of this system, this includes process for continual improvement and assurance of conformity to customer and regulatory requirements.

Quality model focused around the design, development, production, installation and servicing of customer products, implementation of a stringent requirement of set processes developed for risk management, continuous improvement and a focus on customer and industry developments on product requirements.

CTG recognizes the needs for international imposed quality management system described within this certification requirement; ensuring the core competencies for Automotive and Aerospace are met including continuous improvement and configuration management. The usage of the “Plan, Do, Check, Act” process to summarize how it can be applied to all processes to increase production and reduce waste.

The AS6171 Standard and Test Methods were created in response to the significant and increased volume of suspect/counterfeit, Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical devices. These methods provide more rigorous test and inspection methods than the initial revision of AS6081 as well as require the inspection and test laboratory to be accredited to ISO/IEC 17025, to ensures that CTG consistently provides the industry with reliable and accurate results. CTG continues to promote our confidence in counterfeit avoidance testing in support of the aerospace and defense industries, accreditation to these international standard and SAE methods demonstrates our personnel’s competence and commitment.

As applicable to the FAA AC 00-56, CTG ensures the highest quality and integrity of all civil aviation products; including testing, inspection and validation of authenticity and traceability are available and in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration and the Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Although the program is a voluntary step for civil aircraft distribution, CTG has elected to comply with such requirements to ensure customer requirements are met and exceeded for product eligibility, quality, identification, testing and inspection and reporting of Suspect Unapproved Parts (SUP) to all agencies. CTG provides the comfort to their customers ensuring all Advisory Circulars and Advisory Directives are followed pertaining to the procurement and sales of such product.

Through this certification, CTG ensures the integrity of all electric, electronic, electromechanical (EEE) products inspected/tested within CTG’s laboratory. The program plan develops a strong competency for training, handling, storage, transportation and shipping of such devices and ensuring such sensitive devices remain within technical and specification requirements per manufacturers tolerance. This requirement was initially developed by the United States Department of Defense, who has now adopted the ESD program as a requirement.

The set forth requirements provides a detailed analysis for component testing and verification and ensures a strict guideline for product which would be deemed suspect / fraudulent / counterfeit. The standard provides CTG the edge on Component verification, training, Reliability Analysis and detailed test analysis with Acceptance and Rejection criterias. Added amongst various other standards, this ensures CTG’s customers of authentic products.

IDEA–QMS-9090 Quality Management System was developed to specific requirements and practices of Independent Distributors of Electronic components can utilize to help ensure that they meet and exceed customer requirements. These requirements and practices serve to address many of the unique testing and validation per IDEA–STD-1010. With the detailed training program established within the standard, each inspector and technician are also independently certified to IDEA–ICE-3000, accrediting each individual validating product as a certified member to accept or reject product.

DLA Land & Maritime conducted an extensive on-site assessment of CTG’s capabilities and awarded approval on the basis of CTG’s Quality Management System and inspection protocols and added CTG as an approved distributor for stock classes 5961 (semiconductors) and 5962(microcircuits).

CTG is pleased to announce we are a Certified Partner in the Custom Trade Partnership Against Terrorism program (CTPAT) granted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection. We continue to demonstrate excellence in supply chain security practices, and our security measures have been declared effective by CTPAT’s standards. This new certification will allow CTG to benefit from reduced cargo exams, training and sharing of information, which means less lead time on the quality parts you need.
