U.S. Air Force Actively Working to Resolve DMSMS Challenges

A recent article published in Armor & Mobility highlights the challenges the U.S. Air Force is facing with Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Materials Shortages (DMSMS) and how they are actively working to regain control.

Like all Department of Defense (DOD) services, this is not an unusual problem sourcing parts for aging aircraft, vehicles and equipment. Sourcing parts from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Primes are not always the most expeditious and cost-effective means.

CTG provides a proven alternative supply chain solution to DMSMS and obsolescence challenges to our Department of Defense customers. As an established DOD supplier, we are an industry leader in obsolescence management and sourcing hard-to-find, long lead time repair parts, spares and components. We back our supply chain solutions with an un-paralleled counterfeit avoidance and detection program with the certifications and accreditations to support this assertion.

When the OEM and sole source suppliers “no longer support, stock, repair or produce these items,” CTG often does. Working with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) and across the Services, we have established ourselves as an alternative sourcing capability. CTG provides a solution for legacy USAF systems both proactively and for un-forecasted supply chain challenges, ultimately increasing operational readiness.
